IBSA Goalball seeks hosts for clinics

A goalball referee checks a player at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
IBSA Goalball is up-dating the rules of the game for years 2018-21. We are looking for hosts who are interested in organizing clinic tournaments, where several IBSA member countries can send their teams to learn the new rules and have their referees re-certified.

Tournaments can be organized in timeline November 2017 - through 2018, depending on the approval of the rules by the IBSA board. Naturally re-certification tournaments are organized through the entire validity of the rules 2018-21.

According to the existing rules, level III referees’ re-certification tournaments should have participants from five different countries and for level II from three countries. The number of referees in the clinics depends on the amount of teams and games.

We are waiting for your proposals at goalball@ibsasport.org throughout the summer and autumn until the end of September 2017.

Please mention in your proposal:

- dates for the planned tournament (2-3 clinic days earlier);
- number of countries expected to participate;
- costs for the referee candidates.

We look forward to receiving your proposals.
