IBSA Blind Football is pleased to release the logo for the Euro Challenge Cup, a major development tournament to be held in Kraków, Poland, in May 2018.

The logo features the Lajkonik, a local character and one of the unofficial symbols of the city. The Lajkonik is a bearded man dressed in Mongol clothing who sits astride a white hobby horse.

Logo description:

The logo is circular. In the blue outer circle the white text reads '3rd IBSA Blind Football Euro Challenge Cup'. It also has two stars (at 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock) and IBSA at 6 o'clock.

In the middle of the circle Lajkonik (red against a white background) is wearing black eyeshades and kicking a ball above a text which reads 'KRAKÓW 2018'.

The 3rd IBSA Blind Football Euro Challenge Cup will take place within the framework of the UEFA-supported IBSA Blind Football Development Project Europe and is the showcase event for this project year. The dates for the tournament are May 10th to 12th.

IBSA is partnering with local club Tyniecka NWP Kraków to deliver the tournament.

Countries which have recently received support from the project have been invited to take part and the final line-up will be announced shortly. IBSA will cover their accommodation, meals and local transport while in Kraków.

A referee training course open to officials from all over Europe will be held in the city immediately prior to the tournament.

Schedule

Monday May 7th - arrival referees for training course
Tuesday May 8th - referee training course
Wednesday May 9th - referee training course, arrival teams
Thursday May 10th - match day 1
Friday May 11th - match day 2
Saturday May 12th - match day 3, including final
