Russia's female judokas had a productive day on the tatami yesterday at the IBSA World Games in the South Korean capital,taking the two gold medals on offer.
In the under 52kg Alesia Stepaniuk defeated her Ukranian rival to take the top medal, and in the over 70kg weight category Irina Kalyanova overcame Arina Kachan from Belarus for victory.
The Ukraine made up for disappointment in the women's event by taking gold in the men's -70kg category, with Dmytro Soloyev beating Russia's Shakhban Kurbanov.
In the day's other final there was joy once again for the hosts when Jung Min Lee defeated Sharif Khalilov from Uzbekistan in the final of the men's under 81kg category.
