The Ukrainian team celebrates after winning the European championships in Turkey earlier this month.
IBSA has announced that Cagliara, Italy, will host the next edition of the IBSA Partially Sighted Football (B2/B3 category) World Championships in May 2017.

The event will be hosted on the island of Sardinia by Tigers Paralympic Sport, a member of FISPIC, and will run from May 26th until June 4th.

Ukraine will be looking to retain the title of IBSA world championships it took in Seoul in 2015 at the IBSA World Championships and Games.

The tournament in Cagliari will be the 7th world championships for partially sighted players, and it will return to Europe for the first time since it was held in Manchester in 2004. Recent WC have been held in Argentina (Buenos Aires, 2008), Japan (Sendai, 2013) and South Korea (Seoul, 2015).

An entry form and information package will be released for all IBSA member nations in the coming days. For more information on the championships contact
