IBSA Blind Football trains Asian referees

The referees during the course.In the run-up to the IBSA Blind Football Asian Championships, which kick off tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, IBSA Blind Football is running a referee education course involving officials from Malaysia and abroad.

Fifteen referees from Asia and Oceania signed up for the level 1 course and, subject to passing the final test, will be certified as new IBSA Football referees.

The schedule includes a multimedia presentation of the new rule book on Sunday 10th December, practical sessions on the pitch to work on placements and signals today, and an exams session with the use of interactive multiple choices online application designed for IBSA Football referees.

The award ceremony is schedule for Monday 11th after dinner and the new referees will have the opportunity to watch the kick off games of the Asian Championship on Tuesday 12th.

The clinic is organised by IBSA and the Malaysian Blind Sports Association and conducted by Elias Mastoras, IBSA Blind Football Referees Coordinator.
