International Blind Football Foundation opens special grant programme

IBFF logoThe International Blind Football Foundation (IBFF) has launched a special grant scheme aimed at organisations working in the field of visual impairment, inviting them to apply for funding by noon on Saturday May 9th (Japanese time).  

Grants of up to 2 000 US Dollars per beneficiary are available and the scheme focusses on the adquisition of information technology equipment and communication tools, devices and services.

The funding scheme is titled Urgent Support Grant Programme and has been introduced to combat the impact of the current global coronavirus epidemic. 

Grants are available to bodies meeting the following criteria:

1 Type of organisation

- National Federations (NFs).
- Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
- Non-Profit Organizations.

  All applicants must work in the area of visual impairment.

2 Documents to be submitted

- Urgent Support Grant Programme Application Form, fully filled in Word format.
- List of items to be purchased.
- CV of project leader and of the person producing the financial report (if different).
- Outline of your organization or annual report (optional but highly recommended).
- Annual budget (optional but highly recommended).

3 Focus Area

  The focus area is IT equipment and communication tools, devices and services.

  Key factors to be reviewed are:

  - Who the beneficiaries are;
- What the problem is;
- How to solve the problem with the equipment and the tools;
- Expected outcomes.

Fifty percent of the grant will be made available upon signing an agreement contract with IBFF, and the remaining 50% will be transferred upon receipt of the final report and full financial report.

The International Blind Football Foundation or IBF Foundation is a Japan-based non-profit organisation which aims to harness the power and popularity of blind football to transform the world. Among its first actions, the foundation helped to deliver the IBSA Blind Football Women's Camp and Games in Tokyo early last year.
