Hong King recently held its first ever international blind football tournament with five Asian countries taking part - Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, India and China.
The Hong Kong Open Blind Football Tournament, organised by the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation, was successfully concluded on 17th December at King's Park Soccer Pitch.

China ran out winners of the tournament, with Thailand in second place and Malaysia taking third place. Mr. Jonathan McKinley, Deputy Secretary for Home Affairs of the Home Affairs Bureau, Mr. Tony Yue, Vice President of Hong Kong Olympic Committee, Dr. Radha Krishnan, IBSA Asian Chairman and Mr. Eigo Matsuzaki, IBSA Blind Football Committee Asian Representative, officiated at the opening ceremony.
Hon. Mr. Ma Fung Kwok, Legislative Councillor of Hong Kong SAR Government, Mr. Eric Fok Kai Shan, President of Hong Kong Miniature Football Association, Dr. Trisha Leahy, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Sports Institute together with Dr. Radha Krishnan and Mr. Eigo Matsuzaki officiated at the prize presentation ceremony and handed over trophies to the winning teams.
