Thailand's male and female goalball teams celebrated gold medals earlier today as the 8th ASEAN Para Games
came to a close in Singapore.
In the men's final Thailand defeated Malaysia by 16 goals to 6 to win the tournament, while Indonesia beat Laos 15-12 in a close match to take bronze.

It was a one-sided affair in the women's final, with the Thai team sweeping to victory over Laos by 10 goals to nil. Myanmar finished third to take bronze.

The next edition of the ASEAN Para Games will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2017. The games are organised by the ASEAN Para Sports Federation
