IBSA Blind Football is travelling to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this weekend to boost the game in the Balkan region.

As part of the UEFA-funded Development Project Europe, IBSA Blind Football is taking part in a conference for teachers of the blind from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighbouring countries such as Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. Following the presentations there will be a training session involving local blind and partially sighted children and teenagers.

In addition, there will be meetings with local stakeholders such as the football federation and Paralympic committee, with a view to setting up a sustainable grassroots blind football programme in the country.

IBSA Blind Football has teamed up with Cross Cultures to develop this project. Cross Cultures, like IBSA a UEFA Football and Social Responsibility partner, is a humanitarian project association currently running three different sport and education programmes for children, volunteers and local stakeholders in post conflict countries.
