IBSA Judo is the global governing body of the sport around the world.

Generally, IBSA Judo competitions follow the same rules as sighted judo. There are only a few adaptations such as beginning a fight with a grip in place, no penalties for blind judoka for leaving the mat and being guided onto the tatami by a referee at the start of a match.
